Our Mission

Mission Joplin shows Christ's love by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of people who are hungry, hurting or hopeless.

Established in 2011, Mission Joplin first opened its doors to provide assistance to victims of the devastating tornado that struck the Joplin area on May 22, 2011. Today, Mission Joplin continues to serve over 2,500 people annually. We are driven by the desire to share the gospel with every client we serve, and we strive each day to spread this unending message of hope.

If you need assistance, visit our warehouse at 2822 E 8th Street (8th & Highview) in Joplin, MO (just west of 7th & Range Line) to receive food, clothes, dishes, toiletries, baby items and housewares.

Meeting the Most Basic Needs

At Mission Joplin, we address hunger and hopelessness in a way that is transformational and Christ-centered. We fully believe that in order for someone’s heart to be open to change, we must first meet his or her most basic and immediate needs.

Assistance Requirements

  • Must have a Joplin address.

  • Provide proof of current address.

  • Provide a picture ID.

  • Provide Social Security numbers for family members.

 

Get involved with Mission Joplin

Volunteer

Show God's love by helping clients shop for the items they need, stocking shelves, or helping with registration. Please contact Mission Joplin to schedule your dates of service.

Donate

We currently need non-perishable food, blankets, heaters, coats, scarves, gloves, towels, and linens. If you have a large donation, please schedule drop-off by contacting Mission Joplin.
